Kisan Karj Mafi 1 lakh tak new list released

The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started the KCC Karj Mafi scheme in July 2017 to provide debt relief to farmers across the state. The aim was to waive loans up to Rs 1 lakh for around 86 lakh farmers who were struggling due to crop failures and financial difficulties.

While lakhs of farmers benefited, some were left out due to technical errors. To address this, the Agriculture Department proposed waving loans of up to Rs 1 lakh for 1 lakh more farmers at a budget of Rs 190 crores. This new list was approved and issued on January 5, 2024, covering 33,408 farmers across 19 districts.
